Report Online Scams,

Your Internet safety is protected here at Report-Online-Scams.com. We are working very hard to keep the Internet fraud- free. The purpose of this site is to aid people, so that they can report scams and help others. The Internet is growing at such a rapid rate; scam sites, hoaxes, etc. are showing up each and everyday. We have already shut down many fraudulent websites, as well as exposing many online frauds.

This site was created to network people together to stop online fraud. It is very important that you report scams online. It is up to us to congregate together, in order to defeat online fraud. You will be provided many useful tools that can help you avoid online fraud.

How To Spot Online Fraud

Trusted Money Transfers: Use only escrow-trusted companies. Paypal and Escrow are great with ensuring that your money will be safe. However, Western Union, Money Gram, and Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) are unsecure.

Poor English: Poor English is a dead give-away that you might be a target of a scammer. A lot of these scammers use English as their secondary language. They also operate their scams through 3G mobile phones. More importantly, they are overseas and you will never be able to locate them.

Contact Information: Can you contact the company? Just because they have a contact form does not mean they respond to it. Always communicate with someone before purchasing anything from him or her.

Too Good: If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Providing a list of merchandise at a ridiculously low price is a dead give-away that you are a target of a fraud.

How To Report Online Fraud

Make sure it is not just a misunderstanding, before you take any action. Fraud reporting is easier than you might think. The first thing I would do is report it to ic3.gov. You need to stay proactive when filling out a claim with ic3.gov. You will receive a user name and password that you can access there. Don’t expect overnight results, it usually takes 4-6 months.

File a report with the Federal Trade Commission (1-877-382-4357). The Federal Trade Commission will take a claim over the phone, and an agent will type out everything you say. You will then be provided with a reference number.

Contact your local crime hotline (for example, here in Kansas City, we have “Problem Solvers” and “Call for Action”). These people want to help with your problems. You can only benefit from contacting them.

Contact the State Attorney General in your state. Contact your local police department, and fill out our form to post your story on our website.
