Work At Home ScamsIf working from home on your own time schedule with no boss breathing down your neck sounds like a dream, you are not alone. Lots of people are looking for ways to earn extra money from their own homes, and scammers are taking advantage of many of them every single day. While there definitely are some ways to make extra money working online, there are even more scams waiting to take your money rather than pay you money.

Always keep this is mind, if it is a good "work at home scams" will pressure you into buying their service or product. Counters, as found with the Profit Profusion scam just try to hurry you along. I have covered a lot of these scams over the last couple months. Some of the most notable ones are "Underground Cash Secret Scam" and "RebateProcessorJobs Scam".

An Inside Look At Work At Home Scams

The most common type of work at home scam involves you paying in some way to get started with the work. Some scammers will simply say you need to first pay a fee to cover their expenses verifying you are right for the job or checking your computer or printer to ensure you have everything that is needed. There is no such verification process. They just want your money.

Others may want you to pay for information on the job or packets of information that will describe exactly what you have to do to get yourself started. Most of these are not real jobs. They are just information on how to start your own business at home with no guarantees of a real income ever coming.

Other scammers may want you to purchase kits of supplies in order to start assembling kits of some sort. You will supposedly be paid for each kit that you assemble, but you have to first purchase supplies of some sort to get started.

In all of these instances, you pay for your starting packet of whatever sort and never hear from the scammers again.

Also, some scammers may be more interested in getting a hold of your personal information or access to your bank account than they are in giving you a chance to actually make money. They may send you a contract or other information that looks completely professional, but require that you give them your social security number, address, phone numbers, or even your bank account number so they can process your payments.

You will never actually receive money from these “employers,” but you can guarantee that your money will disappear out of that account real fast.

If you want to work from home or start your own online business, you should never have to pay someone else to get you started. You have to protect your personal information and your money just as you would when making an online purchase or shopping in a real store.
